These simple and delicious puff pastries are the perfect way to start your morning or a quick afternoon snack. This makes 8 puff pastries and is inspired by @agatherenou on tik tok.
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets of frozen puff pastry
- 1/2 cup nutella (294g)
- Egg wash (optional for a shiny finish!)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200 C (392 F), line a baking pan with parchment paper
Let the puff pastry thaw.
Cut one sheet of pastry horizontally in half. Within the half, cut the sheet vertically in 1/4's (one sheet should produce 8 rectangles)
Repeat this with the other sheet of puff pastry
Spread one generous tbsp of nutella onto one rectangle of the puff pastry. Repeat this from 8 rectangles.
With the remaining 8 rectangles, place it on top of the rectangles which have nutella.
Using a fork, score the edges together to ensure the two rectangles are joined together.
Place the pastries on the parchment-lined pan. Using scissors, cut three lines, 1/2 an inch thick on the top half of the pastry, repeat for all the pastries.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the the pastries are golden brown.
